Fall Application Deadline: Hospitality Leadership Certificate

In partnership with Cornell University, the Hospitality Leadership Certificate is a unique opportunity to strengthen your managerial, finance and leadership skills through a relevant and multidimensional curriculum. This flexible, interactive and specialized professional development experience will advance your leadership skills and provide you with relevant skills to help boost your career within the hospitality industry.

Registration deadline: Prud'homme Beer Certification® Level 1 - Beer Enthusiast

This introductory course in beer education is designed for participants interested in furthering their knowledge and interest in beer. The focus will be on brewing ingredients and processes, tasting concepts, pouring and serving concepts (including an introduction to draught systems) and food and beer pairings. This offering of Prud'homme Beer Certification® Level 1 - Beer Enthusiast will be held October 15, 22, 29 and November 5, 2017.

Roberta Bondar - Innovators: Leaders Pushing Boundaries

The Innovators: Leaders Pushing Boundaries is annual lecture series which brings to campus leaders in business and academia who have developed innovative and unique methods of creating positive change within their industry, organization or society. This year, the College of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph welcomes the worlds first neurologist in space and Canada's first female astronaut, Dr. Roberta Bondar, to discuss her unique story of leadership and perseverance.

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Award in Spirits will introduce you to the basic principles of spirit production and the main types and styles of spirits available. You will also learn how to serve spirits and distinguish the factors affecting the flavour of spirits. This offering of the WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits will take place Sunday, October 15.
