What We Know: Research and Insight on Guelph Wellington

The Community Engaged Scholarship Institute invites you to explore 50 posters by researchers from community organizations, municipal staff, faculty, students – all presenting ‘what we know’ about Guelph-Wellington. From cats and deer to water usage and food waste, and everything in between, posters will cover a diverse range of topics. Come out to this event to meet the researchers and to learn what amazing work is going on in and about our communities!  Brief opening remarks will begin 1:30pm. Presenters will be available to discuss their posters from 1:30-4pm.

The Recruit Guelph Job Fair is an opportunity to meet employers who are looking to hire students for summer, co-op, part time, full time and contract positions. All employers have active positions on Recruit Guelph and are attending to meet with applicants face-to-face to answer any questions. Research Event: Visiting Speaker Series ft. Pierre-Olivier Pineau, HEC Montreal

The Visiting Speaker Series is an opportunity for invited researchers and professionals, external to the University of Guelph, to present their research topic(s) to faculty and students. WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits logo

Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Award in Spirits

Open to the Public: This one day course will introduce you to the basic principles of spirit production and the main types and styles of spirits available. You will also learn how to serve spirits and understand the basic principles of marketing used for the sale of spirits and the issues relating to the safe consumption of spirits. An exam will be held at the end of the day and successful candidates will receive a certification.

Career Workshop: The Making Box Workshop - Improve your Presentation Skills with Improv!

Learn how to harness the tools of improv theatre to improve your presentation skills! Upon workshop completion, students will gain confidence and a heightened awareness of their physical and vocal presentation style. They will leave with a toolkit of communication practices that can be applied immediately to their pitching and responding strategy, all while having fun! The workshop will be facilitated by The Making Box, in partnership with the Business Career Development Centre.
