HAFA/HFTM Alumni Career Networking Night

Join us on Wednesday, January 20th for the annual HAFA/HFTM Alumni Association Career Networking Night. This event continues to be a success thanks to the enthusiastic participation from our alumni and students. Alumni are excited to come back to the School to meet and share their career experiences with our students. The format of the evening will include round table discussions between alumni and students with each table focusing on a specific career area of interest to students.  Alumni are invited to join us for a dinner hosted in PJ's from 5 - 6 p.m.

HFTM 17th Annual Job Expo

The 17th Annual HFTM Job Expo will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in Peter Clark Hall in the University Centre. The Expo connects hundreds of students to over 20 employers offering summer, part/full-time positions.  All students enrolled in an HTM course are welcome to attend.   Canada Revenue Agency Information Session Monday, January 18th 5:30 to 7:00 PM We, at the Canada Revenue Agency collect taxes, deliver social and economic benefits on behalf of the federal government, and administer trade agreements. The CRA offers many exciting opportunities in a variety of divisions: Auditing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Administration, Finance, Clerical and others.

Wine & Spirit Education Trust Certification: Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits

Boost your knowledge of wines and spirits in this nine-week course (January 18 - March 21) hosted at the University of Guelph's School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management. Level 2 focuses on the key grape varieties grown around the world and tasting technique, the different styles of wine produced, and the production of spirits and liqueurs. Research Event: PhD Speaker Series ft. Dr. Heather Mair

Join us on January 13 for a talk by prof. Heather Mair from the University of Waterloo's Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies. Her seminar is titled "Tourism as Pedagogy?". Held monthly from September to April, the PhD Speaker Series features University of Guelph faculty as well as researchers from around the globe. Its purpose is to encourage knowledge sharing campus-wide. Anyone from the University of Guelph is welcome to attend.
