Startups Drinks is a collaboration between the Centre for Business and Student Enterprise at the University of Guelph (CBaSE) and Innovation Guelph. It’s a simple concept: enjoy a beverage and connect with Guelph's entrepreneurial community. Join us for a fun beer tasting afternoon! Wine has always been the go to pairing with cheese, but beer is a worthy contender. Beer and cheese share a long history of farmhouse production, leading to a variety of regional styles and varieties of pairings. From the monastic traditions and small scale home productions beer and cheese share a lot in common. This is not intended to fully sway anyone over to the beer camp merely to introduce the delicious world of beer and cheese pairing. Be prepared to dazzle and challenge your taste buds.

The Visiting Speaker Series is an opportunity for invited researchers and professionals, external to the University of Guelph, to present their research topic(s) to faculty and students. On March 10, the Department of Economics and Finance will welcome Jim Davies, Western University . Anyone from the University of Guelph is welcome to attend.   Abstract

3MT® is a university wide competition for graduate students in which participants present their research and its wider impact in 3 minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide.

The GryphBiz Case Competition brings teams of students together from various Guelph high schools to compete for best in class (school) status. The Community Engaged Scholarship Institute invites you to explore 50 posters by researchers from community organizations, municipal staff, faculty, students – all presenting ‘what we know’ about Guelph-Wellington. From cats and deer to water usage and food waste, and everything in between, posters will cover a diverse range of topics. Come out to this event to meet the researchers and to learn what amazing work is going on in and about our communities!  Brief opening remarks will begin 1:30pm. Presenters will be available to discuss their posters from 1:30-4pm.
