A team of three University of Guelph students travelled to Buenos Aires, Argentina last week to compete in the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) Student Case Competition.

The case competition had teams competing in one of three streams: Undergraduate, Intermediate, and Advanced. After a grueling case analysis and presentation, the team moved on to the final round of the case competition and placed first overall in the undergraduate stream.

The U of G team consisted of:

  • Michelle Ragany (BComm, Food and Agricultural Business)
  • Hayden Fox (BComm, Food and Agricultural Business)
  • Sarah Preston (Bachelor of Arts and Sciences)

The competition was part of the annual IFAMA World Conference, which focused around the theme of Sustainable Food Security 2050. The conference featured international speakers from businesses, public sector and academia.

Congratulations to Michelle, Hayden and Sarah on this incredible accomplishment and international victory!
