U of G real estate club host industry professionals for real estate investments panel
The University of Guelph’s Real Estate and Housing Students’ Association (REHSA) hosted their annual Winter Industry Night last week, connecting business and real estate students with professionals from the real estate industry.
This year’s Industry Night featured an informative panel discussion on the topic of Real Estate Investments. The discussion looked at the investments industry, company investment theses, and advice for students on how to break into this industry.
The panel included four industry professionals, and was moderated by Scott Chandler, Senior Vice President at Colliers Capital Markets. The panel featured:
- Harrison Diamond, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Vault Realty Partners
- Adrian Marsili, Senior Analyst, Acquisitions and Asset Management at North American Development Group
- Chris Clademenos, Real Estate Analyst at Fiera Properties
- Andrew Dawdy, Associate Portfolio Manager at Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO)
The panel discussion began by looking at current industry trends before diving into a typical day in the investments industry. Panelists finished with some advice for students hoping to break into the investments field and a Q&A session.
“The event was well attended, and it was great to meet business students from across different majors,” said Krishna Movva, President of REHSA. “The industry panel engaged with our students and they were able to learn more about real estate investments and the opportunities, trends and drivers within this dynamic industry.”
The Real Estate and Housing Students’ Association (REHSA) is the student representation of the Real Estate and Housing major at the University of Guelph. Their goal is to provide all real estate students with an accessible resource to network with industry professionals, through events, case competitions and other networking opportunities.
