Lang students raise money in support of breast cancer research
Last month, Lang students from the Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management Student Association hosted their annual Think Pink fundraiser, raising money in support of breast cancer research and awareness.
The fundraiser included a photobooth, silent auction and cupcake sales, which raised $931 for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
The silent auction included prizes generously donated by several companies and local businesses, including: Wellington Brewery, Muskoka Brewery, The Bull Ring, Brass Taps, Chocolats Favoris, Bar Mason Restaurant at the Delta Guelph, the University Bookstore, Bread Bar, Marriot International, and McDonald’s Guelph.
Sweet Temptations Cupcakery in Guelph generously donated cupcakes, which were available to guests for a small donation.
The event took place on Friday, October 25th at PJs Restaurant, an on-campus student-run restaurant. Congratulations to the Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management Student Association for another successful fundraiser, and special thanks to the businesses above for their support.
