The Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics has launched a new scholarship to support students who have demonstrated social entrepreneurship and innovation through academic and community experience.

The annual scholarship launches in Fall 2021 with the support of a recent gift by Dr. Janét Aizenstros. Aizenstros is a serial-entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in metaphysical sciences specializing in Conscious Business Ethics & Conscious Centered Living, and Chair & Founder of Ahava Group Global, a women-led digital consultancy that helps shift the perspective of Fortune, B-corporations, and media companies to grow devoted, long-term relationships with women consumers using data and technology.

“The Lang School of Business and Economics aligned with many of my core values regarding social entrepreneurship,” said Aizenstros. “With this scholarship, I want the next generation to know that their impact matters and that there are people who want to support and fuel the  dreams of upcoming leaders.”

The scholarship is open to all undergraduate Lang commerce students or any University of Guelph undergraduate student registered in Lang’s Entrepreneurship minor. Scholarship recipients will be based on the depth of experience in social entrepreneurship, as demonstrated by a statement of interest and resume.
