The Lang School of Business and Economics has partnered with Ten Thousand Coffees and RBC Future Launch to launch Lang First Year Student Connect, an exclusive online program that helps connect first-year Lang Commerce students together based on common interests.

The online program’s virtual matching feature connects first-year Lang students together based on their major and mutual interests. Lang students can search for peers, match and connect with like-minded students, and chat online over a virtual coffee.

As the majority of students are learning remotely this semester, the program will help form a sense of community amongst the first-year students.

“Although the students can’t be together in person during their first-year, this new program will help students form bonds with other students who share similar interests,” says Manager of the Business Career Development Centre, Mary-Anne Moroz.

This program adds to other online community programs offered by the University for the fall 2020 semester, including the Gryphon’s Nest and the LangSA’s Student Mentorship program.

All first-year Lang Commerce students will be invited to join the online platform towards the end of September and will receive an email from the Business Career Development Centre with further details.
