Students at Macdonald Hall

The Lang Students’ Association (LSA) is excited to welcome all new first year students to the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics. As these students prepare to begin an exciting academic journey, the LSA reminds them that Lang offers far more than classroom learning.

From professional development to community engagement, Lang provides countless opportunities to build connections, explore interests, and create lasting memories. Whether students are hoping to expand their professional network, meet new friends, or contribute to meaningful causes, there are experiences designed for everyone.

Opportunities to get involved include:

  • Joining one of Lang’s 19 student clubs and organizations – each offering unique ways to connect with peers and develop professional skills.

  • Applying to be an LSA Brand Ambassador – representing the LSA, engaging with students, and promoting events.

  • Participating in the Lang Mentorship Program – pairing first year students with upper year student mentors for guidance and support.

  • Attending professional and social events year round – from networking nights to social mixers.

  • Marking calendars for signature LSA events – such as the Charity Golf Tournament, Lang vs. Lazaridis Basketball Game, and Commerce Formal.

  • Visiting the Commerce Corner – where students can purchase exclusive Lang merchandise and explore the student-run Commerce Collective brand.

LSA President Brooke Willier states the association’s commitment to supporting students: “Your time at Lang is what you make of it, and the LSA is here to support you every step of the way. We can’t wait to see you on campus, get to know you, and help you make the most of your university experience.”
