Posted on Thursday, November 20th, 2025

Formed in 2024, the Lang Case Team is a dynamic group of accomplished Bachelor of Commerce students selected to represent the Lang School of Business at prestigious, invite-only international case competitions.

This fall, the 2025 Lang Case Team competed at the Alberta International Business Competition (AIBC) in Jasper, AB, from November 9–15th. The event brought together top business students from around the world, including teams from Australia, Thailand, the United States, and Canada. The competition featured two rounds: a 6-hour case and a 30-hour case.

In the first round, the Lang Case Team impressed a panel of industry judges, earning 3rd place in their pool against Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), University of South Carolina, and the University of Alberta. After a short break to explore Jasper, the team tackled the 30-hour case, delivering a 20-minute presentation that secured 1st place in their pool and a spot in the finals round. Following days of research, preparation, and problem-solving, Lang finished 3rd overall out of 12 teams - a fantastic achievement and an exciting end to the week.

Lang would like to extend a well-deserved congratulations to the Fall 2025 Case Team members - Anand Ray Subramanian, Echo Kells, Ruby Lyons and Svend-Emil Poulsen, as well as their coach Tori Wakeford from the Business Career Development Centre.

Looking ahead, the Winter 2026 Lang Case Team will begin preparing for their next competition in January. Stay connected by following @caseteam_lang on Instagram for updates, results, and information on applications for the 2026/2027 team!
