Dec. 8: Dean Julia Christensen Hughes interviewed on cheating at universities
Julia Christensen Hughes, dean of the College of Business and Economics, was recently interviewed by CTV News Kitchener about cheating at Canadian universities. A leading researcher on the topic, Christensen Hughes spoke to the data from the 2012 Academic Integrity Survey that reported the percentage of students participating in academic misconduct. At the College, data suggest more than two per cent of students participate - compared to one per cent at other U of G colleges - something the dean attributes to a higher rate of reporting.
