Posted on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Department of Economics and Finance Professor Evie Adomait and Department of Business Professor Elliott Currie are both speakers at this year's TEDxGuelphU conference on February 12, 2012 at the Science Complex Atrium.

From TEDxGuelphU
The theme for this year's TEDxGuelphU conference is Perceiving Past the Paradigm. We aim to challenge mainstream boundaries, beliefs, practices and actions by directing our thoughts and conversations towards doing and seeing things differently. When we Perceive Past the Paradigm we will push ourselves to the next level of discovery.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGuelphU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGuelphU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
