July 2: Economics professors Ross McKitrick and Douglas Auld evaluate Canada's biofuels policy

In this article from the National Post, economics professors Ross McKitrick and Douglas Auld write about the costs associated with biofuel initiatives in Canada. While biofuel production has greatly increased since the turn of the century, McKitrick and Auld argue that it may not be the most effective method to reduce greehouse gases pointing out the energy-intensive process required to produce biofuels and the amount needed to travel an equivalent distance when compared to pure gasoline.
