Earlier this year, U of G's first-year business students participated in the Micro-Tyco challenge and raised more than $8,000 for micro-loans to help the world’s poorest people work their own way out of poverty. This week, the University of Guelph welcomes Micro-Tyco founder Mick Jackson to campus for spring convocation and is recognizing his global contributions with an honorary doctorate. Jackson spoke to CBC's Amanda Lang about Micro-Tyco and its impact on those raising and receiving the micro-loans. Watch CBC's interview with Mick Jackson.
