College of Business and Economics offering Macdonald Hall tours during Homecoming

Posted on Thursday, September 8th, 2016

The term “homecoming” will take on additional meaning during this year’s annual celebrations being held on Saturday, September 24. In addition to watching the Guelph Gryphons take on the Western Mustangs, Homecoming attendees will also be able to tour the beautifully renovated Macdonald Hall, the new home of business at the University of Guelph.

Over the past two years, the historical building that served as a residence since its construction in 1903 has been undergoing a transformative renovation to best serve the needs of the University of Guelph’s business students. Previously a large lecture hall, the MAC 149 classroom is now a modern learning facility, equipped with moveable furniture for group projects and 8 x 80" monitors for students presentations and visual learning. The original women's gymnasium has also been transformed into a beautiful modern classroom, home to the popular Intro to Business course (MGMT*1000). The building also includes numerous collaborative learning spaces, student group offices, classrooms and seminar rooms as well as open gathering spaces on all three floors.

To see Macdonald Hall in person during Homecoming, register today. Tours will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on September 24.
