Interested in building your public speaking, financial analysis, case preparation and teamwork skills at Canada’s fastest growing business student competition? Apply to be on U of G’s JDC Central team. Applications are currently being accepted for the academic, debate, sports and social teams.

JDC Central welcomes more than 700 students from business schools across Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes who showcase academics, athletics, social spirit and charity through case competitions, parliamentary style debates, sports tournaments and social competitions. The University of Guelph team was proud to host last year’s competition and took advantage of home turf, with top three finishes in both academics and athletics. Hosting duties for 2015 belong to the Canadian Association of Business Students (CABS) in Toronto.

All undergraduate commerce students, regardless of their year of study, are invited to apply to the sport and social teams. Those interested in the academic and debate teams should be in their third, fourth or fifth year. They are also expected to enroll in BUS 4350 this semester.

Following the application process, selected students will enter a tryout process that includes interviews with the team captains and a brief presentation or case analysis.
