HAFA student Michelle Chan takes her degree global

If you’re looking for an example of a U of G student who has taken their educational experience to another level, look no further than Michelle Chan. Since starting our renowned Hospitality and Food Administration (HAFA) program, she has taken on roles in student government in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Student Association (HTMSA), completed a year of co-operative education, participated in CBaSE programs, acted as an Ontario DECA Provincials judge, and studied in France and Austria.

Jan. 23: Macdonald Hall transformation covered in Guelph Mercury

Following yesterday's announcement that renovations to Macdonald Hall have been approved, the Guelph Mercury reports on CME's anticipated move to the historic building. Macdonald Hall, which was constructed in the early 1900s, will eventually house the majority of CME's programs in addition to teaching and learning space becoming U of G's business hub. Jan 22: CME students, alumnus making headlines

A CME alumnus and soon-to-be graduate have been named by Gen Y Inc. as two of 11 U of G students who are changing Canada. Gavin Armstrong (BComm, 2011) and Thomas Beckett are both recognized for their community-based and international humanitarian contributions.

Jan. 21: DECA U Guelph brings home nine awards from provincial competition

One weekend, nine awards. CME’s DECA U team has many reasons to be proud of their performance at the DECA U provincial competition held in Toronto last weekend. The University of Guelph sent 95 students to compete in the sold-out conference that attracted 1500 delegates.

Jan. 20: CME hosts JDC Central January 24-26

CME is proud to host the Jeux du Commerce Central (JDC Central, JDCC) competition from January 24-26 and welcome top business students from Central and Atlantic Canada. During JDCC weekend, U of G will play host to a number of academic, debate, sport and social competitions, representing the different segments of university life.
