July 23: CBaSE's Hub Incubator Program welcomes four new startups
Four new startup businesses run by University of Guelph students and graduates received a big boost recently through the Centre for Business and Student Enterprise's (CBaSE) Hub Incubator Program. The businesses - Supplement Shed, LocalXChange, Cargotech and BioBridge Research and Education - will receive funding, mentoring, office space and other resources to help support their development. A total of 14 startups competed for the coveted spots in the Hub by pitching their products and ideas to a panel of judges in April.
Launched in 2014, the Hub Incubator Program aims to help startups develop a strong business model that can be rigorously tested and intelligently scaled. It has accepted 11 startups to date.
