Last weekend, Lang real estate and housing students competed in Ryerson’s Expand Your Empire real estate case competition, placing third overall among student delegates from schools across North America.

The annual competition sees teams of undergraduate students redefine an underutilized development site in the GTA. This year’s case challenged students to develop a mixed-use development proposal for a Scarborough site owned by CreateTO that included at least 50 per cent affordable housing apartments. The teams had five weeks to create their solutions before pitching them at the competition.

Congratulations to Lang’s Charlotte Clare, Colt Seraphim, Janie Stel, and Nick Stephen on their success!

University of Guelph and Lang students have seen success at the international competition throughout recent years, including first and second place overall in 2018 and first place overall in 2017.
