May 14: College of Business + Economics gears up for Alumni Weekend June 12 - 14

Posted on Thursday, May 14th, 2015

The College of Business + Economics is excited to welcome back our alumni this June for a weekend that promises to be filled with fond memories as well as unique opportunities to explore our plans for the future.

As we gear up for our 10th anniversary in 2016, we hope as many alumni as possible will join us for a tour of our Centre for Business and Student Enterprise (CBaSE) and a sneak peak of Macdonald Hall, which is currently undergoing renovations to become the official home of Business at Guelph.

Centre for Business and Student Enterprise Tour (CBaSE)
June 13, 2015 at 10:00am. Maximum 30 registrants.

CBaSE and the College of Business + Economics provide students with transformational learning experiences through entrepreneurial thinking. Students and youth entrepreneurs have access to on-campus support to turn their ideas into successful businesses. CBaSE is the gateway between the U of G campus and the Guelph community.

The tour will also include a visit to the Hub, which offers up-and-coming entrepreneurs who are U of G students or alumni funding, dedicated office space and access to mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs. This program galvanizes ideas and helps develop them into high potential opportunities.

Macdonald Hall “Sneak Peek”
June 13, 2015 at 3:00pm. Maximum 30 registrants.

Get a glimpse of the future home of the College of Business + Economics. The Macdonald Hall “sneak peek” will showcase the renovations that are being done to turn this historical building into the Gateway to Business at Guelph. As construction of Macdonald Hall is ongoing, a full walking tour is not possible. However, alumni will be able to step back in time into the front entrance to view our new student marketplace and renderings of our transformational classroom.

Learn more about this history of Macdonald Hall.

Both of these events are free but make sure to register soon to reserve your spot. Alumni Weekend 2015 and registration is now open.
