Most would agree that the "mad cow" event of May 20, 2003, following the discovery of our country's first native Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy case, wasn't really a food safety-centric crisis, at least in Canada; in retrospect, it was primarily a trade crisis.

Congrats Kennedy Crawford and Alyssa de Hoop
March 27th - Kennedy Crawford (B.Comm Marketing Management major) and Alyssa de Hoop (Studio Arts Major and B.Comm Marketing Management minor) competed and won at the 2013 Canada's Next Top Ad Exec competition last night. The girls each walked away with a brand new 2013 Chevrolet Cruze.
Congrats to Dylan Palmer (MSc Marketing and Consumer Studies student) who was awarded $1000 as the second top campus account manager.

U of G students finalists at this years annual Canada's Next Top Ad Exec competition
March 19th 2013 - A team of two students from U of G have been selected among the finalists (top 10) from about 200 teams/individuals who participated in the annual competition Canada's Next Top Ad Exec. This competition is fast turning into a major competition in business schools in Canada - students from different schools across Canada compete for some really great prizes (this year the top prize is a Chevy Cruze for each of the members of the winning team and there are over $30,000 in prizes plus valuable internships for the top groups).
