Research Advances Cancer Prognosis Accuracy for Dogs With Osteosarcoma

Dr. Geoffrey Wood, a professor at the Ontario Veterinary College, identified miR-214-3p as a key biomarker for predicting outcomes in dogs with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer in older, large-breed dogs. Elevated levels of miR-214-3p were linked to shorter survival times and faster disease progression.
