Carlos Santana's participation in the US-American peace movement is just one of the chapters in the long life of the iconic sone Oye como Va. Moving from Havana to New York and Tijuana to San Francisco, in this lecture Dr. Sean Bellaviiti will trace the history of this song while following the overlapping migratory and musical circuits that were central to its production.
