"Literature, Lying on the Ground": Public Talk by Dr. Sarah Dowling

The School of Theatre, English, and Creative Writing is hosting a public talk with Dr. Sarah Dowling (Toronto). Dowling will discuss their new book, Here is a Figure: Grounding Literary Form (Northwestern) and contemporary poetics. Everyone is welcome!

Did Walter Bower Write Scotichronicon in the Inchcolm Abbey's "Warming Room"? Dr. Chris Nighman at Scottish Research Circle

The Scottish Research Circle (SRC) invites you to their October Research Talk, on Friday 3 October, 4:00-6:00pm in the Keg Lounge, Brass Taps (University Centre). Refreshments will be provided.   Dr Chris Nighman (Wilfrid Laurier University), will present “Inchcolm Abbey’s so-called ‘warming room’: the case for its identity as the library and scriptorium where Walter Bower wrote Scotichronicon (1440-47)”. The talk will be followed by a Q&A/discussion about the paper.
