Dr. Brian Stevens is the wildlife pathologist for the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative Ontario (CWHC)/Nunavut region. Brian received his veterinary and pathology training at the Ontario Veterinary College. After graduation, he moved to New Hampshire to work at the state laboratory on the University of New Hampshire campus as a pathologist. There, he collaborated with researchers and biologists on various projects, including studying naturally occurring infections of Canada Lynx in Maine, assessing the impact of winter tick infestations on moose across several New England states, and examining the microscopic anatomy of nudibranch (sea slug) species off the coast of New Hampshire. In 2018, Brian returned to Canada to join the CWHC, where he continues to collaborate with researchers on projects such as anticoagulant rodenticide exposure in various species, snake fungal disease in Ontario snakes, parasitic disease in rodents, and many others.
