HHS Seminar: Muscle Plasticity in Use and Disuse Across Ages

On September 11th, HHS will be hosting a seminar by Dr. Martino Franchi from the University of Padova and all are welcome to join. Dr. Franchi will present "Muscle plasticity in use and disuse across ages."

More about Dr. Franchi's research: Skeletal muscle is remarkably plastic, adapting its structure to changes in mechanical loading throughout the lifespan. This talk will explore how muscle function and morphology responds to periods of increased use, training, and disuse, and how these adaptations may differ with age. Particular attention will be given to changes in muscle architecture and how these structural adaptations influence muscle function.
