Congratulations to Emir Rahman, M.Sc. student in Integrative Biology, on placing third at the U of G Three Minute Thesis finals!
Rahman, co-supervised by Dr. Glen Van Der Kraak and Dr. Nick Bernier, presented "It’s Killing the Mood! Guidelines for Safe Ammonia Levels are Still Too High for Fish." He will receive $250 toward his tuition.
Rahman and Madison Turner, PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Biology, represented the College of Biological Science in the final university competition and both delivered exceptional presentations.
The Three Minute Thesis competition challenges master’s and PhD students to present their research and its impacts in three minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. Competitors are allowed just one slide, with no notes and no props.
