Join fellow engineering young alumni and students for this professional development day. Hear and learn from women of influence and top leaders from the engineering industry.

This inaugural event promises to provide attendees a day filled with professional development opportunities to learn, gain confidence and acquire new skills to RISE through their engineering careers.

Tickets are $20 per person and include a full day of learning, plus breakfast and lunch.
 

Itinerary for the day is as follows:

8 am – 9 am - Register, coffee, breakfast, networking

9 am – 9:30 am - Welcome and keynote speaker "How Women Rise" - keynote to be confirmed

9:30 am – 11 am - Breakout sessions:

  • Interviewing with Confidence - Natalie Romero, HR Business Partner, Intern Program
  • Positioning Yourself for Advancement - Anne Steptoe, Director of Software Infrastructure at The Weather Network
  • Salary Negotiations: Know what you are worth and how to ask for it - leader to be confirmed
  • Leading a Positive Workplace Culture for Women - leader to be confirmed

11 am – 12 pm - Large group session – Establishing a Mentoring relationship at Work - Janey Piroli, Senior Director, Talent and Leadership Development at Walmart Canada

12 pm – 1 pm - Networking lunch

1:15 pm – 2:15 pm - Panel discussion - Women Engineering Leaders

2:15 pm - 2:30 pm - Closing Remarks


Featured panelists and session facilitators are leaders from manufacturing, high-tech, consulting, research and development that will tell their stories and give advice on being successful in the engineering workplace.
