Dr. Hadis Karimipour is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph. Her research mainly focuses on monitoring and security of critical infrastructure including large scale control systems and smart grids. The overall objective of her research is to investigate and overcome the challenges associated with the security, real-time monitoring and control of the large scale systems and smart grids using data analytic and machine learning techniques. She is the member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and Cyber Science Lab - A community of cybesecurity researchers. She serves as the Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) and Chapter Chair of IEEE Information Theory in Kitchener-Waterloo section.
