Environmental Engineering

Environmental Engineering research involves the development of methods or processes to minimize the impact of human activities on the environment. Research at the School of Engineering focuses on the development of sustainable systems to prevent environmental degradation or to remediate existing environmental problems associated with industrial, agricultural and municipal activities. Involves methods to prevent or mitigate damage to the environment by reduction, treatment, and reclamation of solid, liquid and gaseous by-products of industrial, agricultural and municipal activities. There is a strong emphasis on the behavior and fate of contaminants in the environment.
