Commerce students from Lang and UofG reached the podium five times at the JDC Central (JDCC) virtual competition this weekend, placing first in the international business category and third in the entrepreneurship category.

JDCC is widely regarded as one of the most challenging case competitions in Canada which tests the talents of the best business school students in a wide range of categories.

This year’s results were a culmination of hard work and dedication from the Lang team, led by Katelyn Cortina, president of JDCC Lang.

"This past year, our team has put in lots of early mornings and countless hours of training to be successful at this competition. Our delegates have continuously been pushed and challenged week over week in order to improve their knowledge and build on their professional skills. The JDCC Lang team is a testament to what it is like to be a Lang student. We are curious, resilient and are always looking for ways to improve. We continue to tackle challenges with positivity and creative problem solving all while supporting each other and rooting for each other's success.”

"I am amazed at the work, time spent, and dedication to excellence that is demonstrated throughout the year in preparation for this event. I was thoroughly impressed at the creative thinking, problem-solving, business and financial acumen, professionalism, and teamwork.  I am so proud to be faculty at Lang as we have outstanding students and this was at the forefront during this competition.”
