A new program will be added to Lang’s suite of specialized master’s programs, starting in 2023 (pending approval from the Government of Ontario).

Lang’s new Master of Project Management program will provide working professionals the opportunity to develop depth in areas of project management related to leadership, human resource management, and sustainable business.

The program is designed to advance the careers of mid to senior-level leaders who are looking to lead organizational change using project management principles and best practices and will be available in full-time and part-time formats to fit students’ busy schedules.

“The Master of Project Management program will provide an enriching, professionally relevant, and flexible academic experience,” says associate dean, graduate studies and research Dr. Sean Lyons. “We’re excited to be able to accept students into the program in the near future.”

The program will feature innovative teaching formats that emphasize cases, seminars and a focus on collaboration with peers from a wide range of industries.

“Project management is one of the fastest growing fields for employment across North America,” says chair of the Department of Management Dr. Davar Rezania. “This program will attract students with backgrounds in engineering, technology, management or operations among others.”

“Students will learn from our inspiring faculty with expertise in operations, management, HR and leadership,” added Rezania.

In 2019, Lang launched a minor in Project Management for students across U of G to add to their undergraduate program.

Lang offers multiple specialized master’s programs that cater to working professionals including the Lang MBA, MA in Leadership, and the MSc in Management (Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship).
