Candidates entering U of G's MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management or MA in Leadership programs who are graduates of the Rural Ontario Institute's Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (AALP) will be given advanced standing equivalent to two elective courses. Following yesterday's announcement that renovations to Macdonald Hall have been approved, the Guelph Mercury reports on CME's anticipated move to the historic building. Macdonald Hall, which was constructed in the early 1900s, will eventually house the majority of CME's programs in addition to teaching and learning space becoming U of G's business hub. The University of Guelph's Business School is getting a new home. The University of Guelph announced today that Macdonald Hall will be undergoing renovations to create a new "gateway to business" in the historic building that opened in 1903. A CME alumnus and soon-to-be graduate have been named by Gen Y Inc. as two of 11 U of G students who are changing Canada. Gavin Armstrong (BComm, 2011) and Thomas Beckett are both recognized for their community-based and international humanitarian contributions.

One weekend, nine awards. CME’s DECA U team has many reasons to be proud of their performance at the DECA U provincial competition held in Toronto last weekend. The University of Guelph sent 95 students to compete in the sold-out conference that attracted 1500 delegates.

CME is proud to host the Jeux du Commerce Central (JDC Central, JDCC) competition from January 24-26 and welcome top business students from Central and Atlantic Canada. During JDCC weekend, U of G will play host to a number of academic, debate, sport and social competitions, representing the different segments of university life.
