Flow cytometric immunotyping - lymphoma and lymphoid leukemia

Specimen Type/Volume1) Lymph node aspirate. 2) 0.5 mL EDTA blood.

Collection Protocol1) Aspirate enlarged lymph node and prepare one smear (air dried) and place the rest of the sample in an EDTA tube by rinsing the needle and syringe with 2-3 mL of saline. The saline should appear slightly cloudy indicating sufficient cells. If possible, add 1-2 drops of serum which will keep cells stable for 72 hours if refrigerated or kept on ice. If cells are in saline without serum, they are stable for 48 hours at refrigeration temperature. 2) Collect EDTA blood which is stable for 72 hours if refrigerated. Please also submit a fresh blood smear and a copy of recent CBC testing.
Immunophenotyping panels are available for dogs (13 markers), cats (10 markers) and horses (6 markers). A handling fee (test code: xhand) is applicable on each submission. External test price is subject to change.
