Collect blood into a blue top tube.Additional Information
Contact AHL before sample submission to ensure availability of testing on the day shipped. Samples must arrive at AHL within 24h of collection. Blood clots (even microscopic) will result in an inability to test; sample collection must be smooth. Submit in an insulated shipping container, with an ice pack but not in direct contact with the ice pack (wrap both the ice pack and the sample in paper towels). Exposure to heat is preferable to freezing.
