Title: From Categorial dualism to Pluralism: Wittgenstein on Universals Abstract: It is debated whether the early Wittgenstein was a realist or a nominalist. In this paper I argue that by the time of the *Tractatus*, Wittgenstein had already taken a substantial journey from realism in the traditional sense to a more liberated metaphysics, from the *Notes on Logic* throught the *Notebooks*. I argue that the resulting metaphysics is to be preferred to traditional realism.

Dr. Fraser MacBride is from the University of Glasgow and the title of the talk is "From Categorial Dualsm to Pluralism: Wittgenstein on Univiversals".  For more info contact Dr. Patricia Sheridan - pmsheridan@uoguelph.ca
