In a 2012 article in "Innes Review", three scholars reported th eir discovery that four Latin proverbs painted on the wall of the warming ho use at Inchcolm Abbey were derived from the "Manipulus florum", a collectio n of authoritative Latin quotations compiled at Paris in 1306.
