Sucheta Mahajan is a Professor at the Centre for Historical Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and the Visiting Gillespie Professor of History at the College of Wooster. She is author and editor of various books including: Independence and Partition: The Erosion of Colonial Power in India (2000), Education for Social Change (2008) Towards Freedom: Documents on India's Freedom Struggle, 1947 (2012)
