Date and Time

Location

Details

Join us on 9 September 2011 for our annual Scottish Studies Meet and Greet to get to know our new students, the old students, and our wonderful profs. Important information about upcoming grants and events will also be announced. Coffee and donuts will be served. Mmm...donuts!

In conjunction with this, we will hold the first Scottish Studies Roundtable of the year with Philip Dunshea (University of Cambridge). Philip's talk, "The Highland Watershed and Early Medieval Scotland," will look at the role of the Scottish watershed in defining the boundary between the Picts and the Scots; Philip has just finished some fieldwork in search of the cairns which used to mark this frontier.

It all takes place at 2:00 pm in MacKinnon 132. We hope to see everyone there! -- Jodi and Caitlin
