Dr. McDougall is one of the Department's sport historians and the author of various books, including Dreams and Songs to Sing: A People's History of Liverpool FC from Shankly to Klopp (2025) and The People's Game: Football, State, and Society in East Germany (2014), both published by Cambridge University Press.
