One-page proposals (250 words) addressing gossip are invited for 20 minute papers to be given in French or English. The field of inquiry may be broad, but papers should be adapted to address gossip in one of the following categories: social networking, biology, public figures, literature, media, gender studies, and classical studies. Proposals should include the submitter's name, email address, and affiliation, and be sent by November 30, 2011 to gossip-potins@uoguelph.ca.
The Organizing Committee (Dawn Cornelio, Stéphanie Nutting) invites proposals from graduate students as well as established scholars.
