University of Guelph business students brought home multiple awards from conferences once again this past weekend, further adding to the list of honours they have received since the start of 2017. Students attended the Ted Rogers Management Conference (TRMC) at Ryerson University and the CABS Roundtable hosted by the Canadian Association of Business Students. They were recognized for leadership, spirit and case competition performance.

At the TRMC, which is an intensive three-day professional development forum in Toronto, Dan Quintal-Curcic (LOM) was named Ambassador of the Year, Mariya Faryna (MKMN) was named Delegate of the Year and Jonas Postons (MEF) was part of the first place team in the case competition portion of the conference. Postons competed in a team with business students from Ryerson and Concordia University.

At the CABS Roundtable in Winnipeg, CBESA president Madeline Decorso (LOM) was voted President of the Year by her peers and fellow business student association presidents and executives from across Canada. The CBESA also won the Spirit of CABS Award for the second consecutive year. The conference was attended by representatives from more than 25 business schools who engaged in developing leadership skills, team building and sharing of best practices to ensure the success of each school’s individual business student association.
