Details

Did you know there is a certified organic farm located right on the U of G campus? The Guelph Urban Organic Farm (GCUOF), in the north west corner of the Arboretum, is a one-hectare learning and research facility established 11 years ago by the Ontario Agricultural College within the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph.

Students, staff and faculty from across all disciplines can come to the Gryph farm! There, we can learn about a circular food economy, sustainable urban food production, heritage seed production, permaculture, food security, fair trade and year-round food production. Much of the food grown on the farm is served on the U of G campus! You can also just enjoy and feel renewed by the immense biodiversity of the site (we have over 400 kinds of plants)... And its extraordinary beauty! Once you see it you will go back again and again.

Come take a tour and learn more about how the farm is contributing to a sustainable U of G and ecological and human wellness!

Bring along some cash, as there will be a small flower and vegetable and herb market to purchase produce.

Register today, as space is limited!
