Pulling Weeds for Remembrance: Midday Meetup at the Arboretum Memorial Forest
Date and Time
Location
Arboretum, University of Guelph, Details will be sent by calendar invite to registrants closer to the date.
Details
Join for a peaceful and productive midday break at the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest in the U of G Arboretum. We’ll be pulling weeds along the trails and helping maintain this special space, which honours loved ones with trees planted in their memory. This is a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy nature, and connect with colleagues while contributing to the upkeep of this beautiful, reflective space. No experience needed- just wear comfortable clothes, closed toe shoes, bring a water bottle, and we’ll provide the tools! Take a moment to recharge, enjoy the outdoors, and build community while giving back to a space of remembrance and connection.
Refreshments: Herbal iced tea will be provided.
Schedule
- 12:10-1:00 p.m.: Intro to the Memorial Forest and weeding
- 1:00-1:30 p.m.: Optional BYO lunch and stay for a picnic
