AHL Guelph postmortem hoist is repaired

The AHL Guelph postmortem hoist has been repaired. Large animal postmortem service is fully restored.

AHL Guelph-Postmortem hoist out of service, please call if large animal postmortem required

At this time the Animal Health Laboratory is unable to accept large animal carcasses for postmortem services. The hoist in our postmortem bay is out of service, and we do not have an ETA on repairs. 

We ask that you contact the AHL in advance if you are in need of postmortem services for any large animals so that staff can determine if we are able to receive at that time.

We will keep you posted on the availability of large animal postmortem services.

Family Day Monday February 19th

Monday February, 19, 2024 is a stautory holiday and there will be no testing done at the Animal Health Laboratory.

Specimen Reception at the Animal Health Laboratory - Guelph location will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for receiving specimens and  for out-of-hours emergency necropsies only (call first).

The Animal Health Laboratory Kemptville will be closed.
