The first Speaker Series of 2013-2014 will feature Dr. Max Pensky from Binghamton University, co-sponsored by the Guelph Political Philosophy Conference. Dr. Pensky's discussion is titled "Is Anyone Accountable? Questioning Democratic Accountability in Global Governance Institutions". The Philosophy Graduate Students Association is organizing an international political philosophy conference at the University of Guelph from September 20–22, 2013 titled Politics at the Limits of Civil Society. Keynote addresses will be given by Dr. Max Pensky (Binghamton University), Dr. Chiara Bottici (New School for Social Research), and University of Guelph's own Dr. Monique Deveaux.

He is particularly interested in the difficult n egotiation of personal versus professional identity in the age of social net working.
