The Hub Incubator Program Application

Applications for the Centre for Business and Student Enterprise's The Hub Incubator Program are due Saturday, October 31st, 2015.

Whether for-profit or not-for-profit, you can receive the support to grow or begin your startup. The Hub offers UofG students and alumni funding, dedicated office space and access to experienced entrepreneurs. The Hub focuses on helping startups develop a strong business model that can be rigorously tested and intelligently scaled.

Ontario Universities’ Fair

Over the weekend of September 25th, 26th and 27th, The School of Computer Science attended the Ontario Universities’ Fair, the largest educational fair in Canada. The Fair drew more than 130,000 students, parents and educators over the three-day event.

Professor Grewal Honoured With Teaching Award

Gary Grewal, Associate Professor has been named the recipient of the School of Computer Science Teaching Award. This award is presented to an outstanding professor who demonstrates excellence in the classroom and enhances the learning experience. Professor Grewal is a dynamic, engaging lecturer, who has taught several computing courses, including CIS*2030, CIS*3120, CIS*4050 and CIS*6070.

Congratulations Justin

Last week, School of Computer Science student Justin Carvalho was awarded the Associate Vice President Academic Teaching Assistant Award of Excellence (2015).

Justin received the award in recognition of his outstanding contributions as a teaching assistant on campus.

Join The SoCS

The School of Computer Science invites applications from outstanding individuals for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the area of Computer Science, with special emphasis on Software Engineering.

The anticipated start data of the positions is November 2, 2015. Successful candidates are expected to devote approximately equal time to research and to teaching within the School, as well as devoting time to service.
