FARE faculty participate in new national conference

The Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (FARE) was well represented at the recent Future of Farms & Food in Canada conference held in Ottawa, Ontario. This conference marked the first of what is planned to be an annual conference for professionals working in the Canadian agricultural policy sector.

Department Chair Alan Ker gave a presentation on business risk management programs and Prof. Karl Meilke joined a panel discussion on the implications of policy on Canadian agriculture at this event. Posters created by Prof. Getu Hailu and FARE students James Bryan and Alex Cairns were also displayed.
