Home to over 3,000 undergraduates and several hundred graduate students, Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics offers one of the largest Bachelor of Commerce programs in the Province of Ontario. Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics' BComm program includes nine majors – including one in Hotel and Food Administration and another in Tourism Management.

Founded in 1969 and now housed within Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) was the first academic unit to offer a commerce degree at Guelph. Over the years, HTM has developed an excellent reputation within the hospitality industry for the quality of its programs, students and alumni who are working in all sectors of the industry both in Canada and around the world. Supported by a committed Policy Advisory Board comprised of industry leaders, the School has long been regarded as offering one of Canada’s leading hospitality programs.

We seek to appoint the next Director who will solidify the standing of the School as the leading national hospitality program in Canada, able to compete amongst the world’s best.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished academic or industry leader with the ability to build on the achievements of the School, provide strong and focused leadership, and reignite industry engagement as the School strives toward its next stage of development. The appointed individual will be highly motivated with demonstrable leadership experience, as well as a combination of abilities effective in both engaging with industry and leading across-disciplinary academic unit.
