"Blue Monday" - Mental Health Resources

Date and Time

Details

The third Monday every January has been called "Blue Monday" for many years because of the cold weather, post-holiday slump and time passed since New Year's resolutions were made.  Although not based on scientific research, this arbitrary date provides an opportunity to highlight the mental health and wellness resources that are available to employees at U of G.

We know that those experiencing mental health challenges, including clinical depression, are affected by many factors, and there is not one day in the year when symptoms appear.

If you are feeling "blue" at any time throughout the year, please view the wellness resources that are available to you and seek support.
